History ––

Artist and educator Sarah Ryhanen began Saipua in 2006 with a Brooklyn studio devoted to the dual crafts of flower arranging and soap-making (Saipua means “soap” in Finnish, a nod to Sarah's heritage.)

Sarah cultivated a distinct aesthetic through her floral practice, with her work adorning weddings, runway shows and collaborative installations worldwide, and inspiring a broad movement in floral design. Since 2011, Sarah and the Saipua team have been based at The Farm at Worlds End in Esperance, New York where they've worked to develop a consortium of creative endeavors to cultivate products, spaces, educational programming, and experiences that foster intimate and provocative connections to the natural world. Services —

Saipua provides full-service floral design for a limited number of weddings between May and October at venues within a two-hour drive from Worlds End Farm in Esperance, NY. Most of the flowers and greenery are sourced from the gardens and wilds of the 107 acre farm. We selectively add flowers from other farmers in the Hudson Valley and roses from California. We specialize in uniquely inspired bouquets for bridal, tabletop flowers and coordinating tabletop decor, large arrangements of flowers for ceremony, statement pieces in cast iron urns.

Full-service packages include:

• Delivery and set-up

• Personal flowers (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres)

• Ceremony flowers including those for structures (chuppah, arch, etc.)

• Reception flowers provided in a wide variety of ceramic vessels from our ceramic studio at Worlds End and vintage vases.

• Candles and linens for tables

• Removal of flowers and greenery at the end of celebration to be composted at Worlds End

Logistics —

Worlds End Farm is located in Esperance, NY, 30 miles west of Albany. Areas within a two-hour drive include the Catskills, Beacon, Hudson, Syracuse, Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY; North Adams, Pittsfield, Lenox, Northampton and Springfield, MA; Bennington and Manchester, VT; and the northwest corner of CT.

For flower bouquets and small arrangements picked up at the farm, there is no minimum (June-October only)
